Album Notes

Mark Cook has proudly releases his 5th CD project entitled "Styles" (music licensing collection vol. 1). This CD contains 19 tracks including the styles of: rock/shred guitar/blues/jazz/metal etc. This extensive CD collection of music is aimed at music licensing for TV/Film use - but don't let that scare you off - all songs are full on song arrangements with a team of 7 great vocalist! If you like your music ranging from artist like: "Ozzy Osbourne" to "Daughtry" or "Stevie Ray Vaughn" to "Joe Satriani" etc., you will find a taste of all these styles within this one CD project.
Some of Mark's recent TV placements include: TNT's - "Saving Grace" / TNT's - "Without A Trace" / ABC's Family Channel -"Kyle XY"/ MTV's - "Camped Out" etc.,
Movie placements include: "Buried Alive 2008" with Tobin Bell from "Saw" movies / Bad Lieutenant, starring Nicholas Cage / "The Mechanic" - scheduled for 2010 release.
Mark is the 4 time winner of the JPFolks Music Awards (held in Los Angeles, CA) for "Best Blues Album of the Year" 2001, 2002, 2006, also winning "Best Rock Instrumental" for 2006 - Honarable mention in the International Songwriting Contest. "Blewzzy Award" winner for "Best Blues Album".
Mark has been featured in several magazine publications including - Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar mag., Electronic Musician, Blues Revue, etc. Some of Mark's songs can be heard on XM/Sirius satellite.
