This is the debut ep released in 1999 in Los Angeles from Mark Cool. More poppy than his twangy North Carolina releases, "Pie", and "Introducing Mark Cool and the Folk Stars", but containing a quirky folk-pop charm, especially on the enduring "Woman at a Gas Station", and on "Grl for me", which was written for a movie to fill a spot where the director had been using Van Morrison's "Brown eyed girl." "Best in you is a love song that features a great classical guitar solo by co-producer Billy Whiteacre, who also produced "Keep on Thinkin' about you." The remaining tracks were produced by Cool on location at the rehearsal studio and in his home with a little cassette 4 track recorder, and mastered in an LA studio.
