BIO

Mark DiMarzo is a faithful musician devoted to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When Mark was a young boy, his parents bought him a toy guitar for Christmas. After accidentally breaking it (being a kid) they then went out and bought him an inexpensive, but real guitar. Around twelve to thirteen years old he started taking lessons from various teachers going on to play in a couple of rock bands.

Although being a cradle Catholic, many years ago Mark turned his life fully over to Jesus putting Him in His rightful place at the center of his life. Needless to say, things have never been the same. Putting the guitar down for quite some time, he picked it back up studying under legendary jazz guitarist Joe Egidio for over twelve years until this current day playing in many churches from solely guitar to leading a praise team. Mark is a composer and singer, but his real passion (musically speaking) is guitar. It doesn’t take long to recognize his mastery and love for the guitar. For years Mark has been searching the scriptures, in and out of different denominations, only to return back to Catholicism. He is a frequent guest on Eternal Life Radio. It was there when asked to write a song about returning home that he felt inspired to do so, collaborating with his producer Brian Maes to write his follow up to “Reach The Sky”. The new release has been titled “Rome Sweet Home”.

Mark believes music is a heart softener, bringing people into God’s presence through praise and worship, allowing the Holy Spirit to penetrate our very being. He realizes that music is just one avenue used by the Lord. He feels it is most important to be Christ like to people looking for opportunities to share the good news (by words or example) waiting and relying on the Holy Spirit to do so.

Mark is very excited about his return home to the Catholic Church. He often says, “Everything is working for good for those who love the Lord.” It was two weeks before Mark’s dear dad past away that he finally made the long awaited decision to return to his roots not having any idea what was to follow. After the passing of Mark’s dad, he views life from a different lens; there’s much more depth in everything he does. He now is even more determined to spread the good news about having faith and trusting in Christ with a deeper understanding how fragile life really is. He’s been heard to say, “I’m going to play for the Lord until my fingers won’t move anymore”, and we believe Mark is true to his word.
