Born and raised in Venice, California, the youngest of 13 children, Mark Lennon has been recording with his band "Venice" along with brother Michael Lennon and cousins Kipp and Pat Lennon for 12 years.
This is his first solo venture which is an exceptionally cool, different kind of Christmas album.
This CD includes 12 songs, 2 of which were written by Mark Lennon and friend/co-producer Steve Deutsch.
Chalk full of 4 and 5 part harmonies which Mark sings all himself, this upbeat Christmas CD is great for Christmas parties, easy listening and even dancing.
Some people have been known to play it all year long! The last song which is Auld Lang Syne features 20 tracks of Mark recreating a party sing-along at New Years.
It's kind of hard to believe it's only one person and it gets people going at midnight.
It makes a great early Christmas gift and Mark has received many letters thanking him for this wonderful Christmas album.
They can't wait to get his upcoming solo album "Dance Or Cry" available soon!

Anyway, I too could listen to Mark singing from the dictionary or the phone book, so hearing his soulful renditions of classic old Christmas carols was wonderful. He somehow combines a heartfelt respect for their history and also adds his own mellifluous, modern rhythms to them. Inimitable Lennon style, sound and feeling.

Have Mark's X-mas album in my Venice collection since July 2001 and it's an absolute must-have! Funky songs, but also intense ballads. I'm also one of the many who has no problem listening to the album in the middle of Summer, 'cause it's music for every time of year!
