Album Notes

Mallman seems to grab from the best moments of late 70’s and early 80’s rock and deliver it in a crazed way that is all his own. It’s like he’s on fire and screaming at the firemen to let him burn. There is no one else writing songs as catchy and rocked out as these are. We think this is the best album of his career and the year.

In 7 years, Mark "Mr. Serious" Mallman has released 7 CDs, set 2 records for "longest rock song ever written" ("Marathon 1" in 1999 - 26.2 hours, and "Marathon 2" in 2004 - 52.4 hours). In those years, Mallman's toured across America opening for such diverse acts as Guided by Voices, Beth Orton, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Power, Donovan, Tegan and Sara, Ozomatli, Everlast, Exene Cervenka and many others.

Mallman boasts a star on the wall of Minneapolis' world famous "First Avenue Nightclub" from which a live cd (Susstones) was released in 2003. City Pages magazine recently listed Mallman's "Kissing the Knife", from 1998's The Tourist (EGT), in it's "Top 50 Minnesota Songs of All Time", alongside Prince, The Trashmen, and Soul Asylum.

Mallman puts entire body into work (who else humps a keyboard??). You just need to see him live to understand. He’ll be touring like mad through 2007.

As Former Replacements' member, Slim Dunlap, put it: "There is a question mark above Mallman's head - and a question mark is the greatest thing to carry."
