Album Notes

Street Jazz is the type of street grooves produced by Mark Mixx. By using live instruments, Mark Mixx is able to take the street feel to a different type of jazz level. People usually know Mark Mixx as a Hip Hop producer but once again Mark Mixx switched the game up by showing his God givin talent. People will now know that he produces Hip Hop as well as conductes and plays live music. Coming from a musical background Mark Mixx grew up loving the sounds of horns, strings, guitar, keys and percussion. Also loving the hard hitting sounds of bass Mark Mixx incorporated all together and he calls it Street Jazz. Mark Mixx decided to start a Cartel of musicians from Detroit, Michigan. He brought a excellent line up which includes Deblon Jackson (flute),Tony Parker(bass), Johnny Barnes (trumpet), Kevin Tubbs (keys), Jeff Canady (drums)Derrick Bartel (guitar), Derrick Thompson (guitar), Matt Jones (sax),Steve Thunder (keys), and the producer Mark Mixx on (percussion, keys). This is a strong album of grooves. With the're bangin single entitle "Sunny Dayz" is the most successful jazz club banger in the city of Detroit,Michigan right now. So I hope you enjoy the sounds of Tha Street Jazz Cartel.
