Album Notes

In 2005, St. Louis based singer/songwriter/entertainer Mark Moebeck celebrated 30 years making his living exclusively in music. In addition to playing benefits, live radio and concert appearances at the Sheldon Theatre, Mark plays an impressive variety of venues in the St. Louis/Illinois area, including restaurants, nightclubs and wineries.

Through the years, Mark has collaborated with the region\'s top bands and duos. Most notably he spent several years with St. Louis\' own Serapis, which he credits as a highlight in his playing experience. On occasion he can still be found sitting in with his old buddies.

For 25 years Mark has had a close musical relationship and friendship with acclaimed veteran folk artist, Tom May. Tom has also included him in a yearly festival of Irish Folk Music in Portland, Oregon. It is the largest of its kind on the west coast. Mark and Tom also did a concert tour together in Canada and Alaska.

Mark has compiled two CD\'s of his original songs. They are entitled “Thursday Morning” and “Shoes and Beer”. Through these two projects, Mark met and worked with many of his favorite St. Louis musicians. The end result is a collection of well crafted, very personal songs, beautifully rendered by some of the finest players and singers anywhere.

In his live act, Mark incorporates pop songs of the past 30 to 40 years, classic rock and folk, novelty songs, and of course, his original compositions.
