'Cymbalic Encounters' is comprised of the compositions of drummer, Mark Murdock, fretless bass player, Percy Jones and guitarist, John Goodsall from the band Brand X, a jazz-rock band that Phil Collins played drums in in the 70's/80's. Consequently, Mark was invitied to London by Phil Collins and used to tag along to the Brand X and Genesis rehearsals, first concerts and recording studios. There are nine instrumental tracks and five vocal tracks, in which Mark sings on. 'Waters Of Marsh Harbour' features as co-writer world-renowned keyboardist, David Sancious (Sting, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen). Also Spock's Beard keyboardist, Ryo Okumoto on the track 'Kaiten Zushi.' Percy and Mark play keyboards on the other various tracks. Mixed and mastered at BEAM Audio, NYC by Joe Berger who also plays some lead guitar on various tracks. Joe was engineer for John Enwistle at Woodstock '99. Overall 'Cymbalic Encounters' offers something for the Brand X following, prog-rock/pop world and the adventurous. Also, recently launched on cdbaby is Mark Murdock 'EYES DOWN' featuring co-writer Percy Jones and other artists familiar to the music world.
