I am not extremely eloquent when searching for my expression of appreciation after listening to an Artist's Creation.  I can not imagine what it must be like to Create something as unique and  beautiful as "Ancestor Dreams" and then simply close your eyes and listen.  

I recently (2 days ago) became a Grandfather.  And I am beside myself with Love and gratitude and Pride... I think THAT is truly how I would feel after creating a piece such as Ancestor Dreams, because as a "FAN of Mark Purtill" I DO feel all those emotions when I listen to each of his eleven original songs.

When I listened for the first time I wanted to just "listen" and I found myself wanting to play along with him.  I found myself weeping and smiling and getting gooseflesh.  I am a BIG fan of the Anasazi and other open ended flutes.  I purchased my first one from Mark which spurred me on to locate Coyote Oldman and Scott August.

When I think of Musicians and Artists such as Coyote Oldman and Scott August... I sincerely think of MARK PURTILL!  I close my eyes and listen to Ancestor Dreams and I hear him on Stage with other greats because Mark Purtill IS GREAT!!

This CD is EPIC.  It is absolutely beautiful.  My favorite songs?  All of them.  I love them All!! Firebird Meets the Rain is amazing.  Inner Journey is so beautiful.  Reflection ... oh my goodness.  Anasazi Walk sounds almost Asian.  Anasazi Waltz is VERY cool!!  The Breath of God gives me Chills... ALLL of these songs are absolutely beautiful.  I pray that Mark continues his Journey with blessing us all with his Creation of Sound for the Universe.  Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!!
