Having developed a love for music very early in life , Mark picked up his first guitar at the age of ten. He was fascinated with the virtuosity of guitarists like Jimmy Page, Edward Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads, but at the same time had a deep appreciation for the songwriting prowess of artists such as John Couger, Tom Petty, and Fleetwood Mac. It was this mix of influences that led him to search for a musical middle ground between inspired simplicity and technical virtuosity, artistic vision and infectious melody.
Mark spent most of his late teenage years and up into his late twenties in local and regional bands throughout central Ky, playing everything from small party gigs to some of the biggest clubs in the tri-state region. This led to extensive stage and studio experience, and an independently released album.
It was after the demise of several projects that Mark decided to get back to a more basic musical approach and embark on a solo career as a singer/songwriter, drawing on an original collection of songs that never quite fit into any of the earlier projects while continuing to hone his songwriting techniques in search of the elusive eternal melody.
Mark's original music has sometimes been compared to anything from early Eddie Rabbit to mellow Queensryche, Alice In Chains to Days of the New. Sometimes simple with very basic arrangements, sometimes very orchestrated and somewhat complex, but always fueled by a need to express the deeper side of life.
Live shows take on the classic singer/songwriter mentality, leaving a single guitar and vocal to tell the story. Mixing many classic and modern rock songs with his original compositions, this approach allows the audience to appreciate the words and melodies of the songs in their most inspired, purest form.

Very well done
author: SK
A new take on heavy rock, based around acoustic guitars and tastefully done lead work. Classic song stylings made better by the occasional moves delving into more modern aspects of rock, all the time focusing on the lyrics & themes within the songs. Well done, very rocking and more than worth the time & money to check out. Think Alice In Chains circa the Jar of Flies ep and plenty of soul.
