Mark Stary is a singer/songwriter, who creates a musical blend of Alt. country, and Americana rock. "Raunchy-Tonk." His unique compositions emphasize melody and lyrical content. In performances, Mark focuses on original compositions and obscure covers which have become sing along standards for many fans. Mark also has been writing and performing in Nashville, TN. His songs are currently being shopped around music row by the publishing company, The Goodland Group, Division of Aristomedia Group (www.aristomedia.com). Mark's Alt. country/Americana rock group, "Mark Stary and The Whiskey Roses" is gaining critical, industry and fan praise as well. Their new self-titled record was released in September 2006. Band members of "Mark Stary & The Whiskey Roses" have been featured on, or performed with: A Prarie Home Companion, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Patty Page, etc. Between full band & acoustic shows, Mark performes approx. 150+ gigs a year. Mark Stary & The Wiskey Roses have put out a few amazing albums over the last few years. This one has an awesome variety of musical and lyrical styles, and they are a lot of fun to sing and dance to. I highly recomend this CD!
