Mark (Woodstok) Stewart
Singer/Writer/Performer
Mark has been active in the music industry for over 24 years. Starting as a solo artist in the early 80’s, he has played in venues from Florida to New Jersey and even Amsterdam. Since the late 80’s he was lead vocalist for numerous rock bands such as Mahagre Mist, The Realm, Mystery, Red Alert and Blind Confusion. In the mid 90’s he toured as a system engineer with Spectrum Sound (Nashville Tenn.) and in 1999 was voted #2 sound engineer in the Mid-Atlantic region by the Music Monthly Reader’s Poll. After returning to his home in Delaware, he played Paul Stanley in the KISS tribute band ROCK BOTTOM and was lead vocalist and bassist for Rhythm Method. He has also worked with Skip Dixxon (currently on OC 98.1) with all the versions of his live local music shows, recording hundreds of bands live for broadcast on the show (Spyke Audio). In 2006, he created Split Image and after playing 80 shows, they released their debut cd ‘Morning Sun’. Driven by his love of performing he recreated his solo acoustic roots as Woodstok and played over 125 shows in 2007 bringing his total to 205 shows in less than two years! Most recently, he has recorded and released his new cd ‘Reaching Out’.
