Lead Vocals / Acoustic Guitar
Marlon Sharp was born in 1973 in Texarkana, Texas. He started singing when he was ten years old and picked up the guitar at age twelve. Marlon started this group in 2010 and it has become his full time ministry for God. He plays with Burt Joyner, Mike Eaton, Trevor Bohannon, Willie Glover and Tommy Cleghorn. Marlon is also a songwriter and has written or co-written many of the songs on his first CD, 'That's Where I Stand'.
Marlon currently resides in Lockesburg, Arkansas with his wife, Kristy, and four children, Sarah, Kaylee, Trent and Garrett. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and song writing. Marlon's most profound accomplishment is when he surrendered to the Lord and began singing for Jesus in 1998.
Burt Joyner was born in 1959 in Texarkana, Arkansas. His love for the drums started when he saw Ringo play with The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Burt started playing the drums at six years old and played his first professional gig at age twelve. Burt has been blessed to share the stage with many great musicians over the past 40 years. Currently,he is the drummer for Circle J Cowboy Church in Texarkana, Ar as well as Marlon Sharp & Cowboys at the Cross.
Burt currently resides in Texarkana, Texas with his best friend and wife, Sandra. He has a daughter, Lisa, and four grandchildren, Krista, Caylyn, Christian and Tay. In his spare time he enjoys camping and spending time with his family.
Mike Eaton was born in 1954 in Fouke, Arkansas. His Dad gave him a harmonica when he was twelve years old. Mike was surrounded by music from an early age. His grandfather, Reverend Frank Eaton, played the guitar and dobro and his uncle, Will Eaton, played the fiddle.
Mike currently resides in Texarkana, Texas with his wife, Kathie. They have two children, Michelle and Josh, and three grandchildren, Summer, CJ and Sunnilin. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and playing music in his spare time. Mike believes that God gave him the talent to play and Jesus to pay for our sins.
Keys / Vocals
Trevor Boahannon was born in 1969 in Patuxent River, Maryland and started playing the keyboard at age 10. Trevor has played with The Cox Family from Cotton Valley, LA and a few great ArkLaTex musicians to include Marlon Sharp, Burt Joyner, Mike Eaton, Tommy Cleghorn and Willie Glover. Trevor is also a song writer and co-wrote the song, Cowboy Church, which is on Marlon Sharp's first CD, 'That's Where I Stand'.
Trevor currently resides with his wife of eight years, Celia, and their four children, J.T., Emily, Hailey and Jolie. He enjoys spending time with his family, brothers and cousins and writing songs in his spare time. His favorite scripture verse is Matthew 6:33, "But seek first His kingdom and His righeousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Tommy Cleghorn was born in 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. Tommy started playing the bass guitar and acoustic guitar at age 12 and joined Marlon Sharp and Cowboys at the Cross recently.
Tommy currently lives in Foreman, Arkansas with his wife of 19 years, Lynnell. They have three sons, one daughter, one daughter in law and three beautiful granddaughters. Tommy loves to camp, hike and work around his place during his spare time. His biggest accomplishment, musically and personally, was when he totally surrendered his life and his talents to the Glory of God for use and furthering of His Kingdom.
Lead Guitar / Vocals
Willie Glover was born in 1948 in Bryan, Texas. His love for music came from his Dad who played fiddle and his Mother who taught him how to sing harmony. He was 6 years old when he played guitar and sang “Kawliga” on stage for the first time. Over the years Willie has had the blessing of playing guitar and singing harmony for several great artists.
In 2004 while Willie was battling colon cancer God lead him to share his love for singing and playing country music when he began playing with the Circle J Cowboy Church band. Willie’s favorite song to sing is “Choices”. He hopes that through this music ministry with Marlon and the other members of the band, they will in some way touch the hearts of the unsaved to make the choice to allow God into their lives.
Willie currently lives in Magnolia, Arkansas with his wife of 2 years, Jan. They have 7 children and a growing number of grandchildren. Willie enjoys spending time with his family, working in his shop, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley.
