ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Marlowe Grey is neither large nor small. It is not neither here nor there nor is it now, then, or yet to be. It is vast in its intricacy and self-illuminated. Everything experienced is a projection of Marlowe Grey. In a certain sense, everything experienced is a poetic description of it. It is infinite and eternal, yet it wears the disguise of space and time. Its simplicity is obscured by its complexity and its complexity clarified by its most basic nature.

It is unlimited in scope, yet bound by the limitations of that which is probable. It is in perfect balance, harmony, and equilibrium with imbalance, dissonance, and inequality. It yearns to divide its unity while simultaneously striving to unite its diversity with no signs of becoming anything other than what it is, always has been, and forever will be…Everything and nothing; Everywhere and nowhere; Forever and never. It does not appear, yet here it is right now revealing itself naked before us as us in all its incomprehensible magick and mystery.

The scientist is at pains to describe it, the artist at pains to express it, the mystic is at pains to transcend it, and the magician at pains to be it. In short, Marlowe Grey is YOU… experiencing, observing... >> striving for perfection!

If Jack Johnson joined Radiohead the result with be Zoa
Zoa is one of those albums where you find yourself reaching for the volumne to crank it up. Marlowe Grey have hit the right mix straight off the bat, and take you for a journey through this album where you arrive in your office the next day, humming the tunes out loud.

An album that grows on you everytime you listen to it
Everytime I listen to this CD I like it more , I hear a new element to the songs, the lyrics, the amazing guitar playing and it just gets better everytime. It is my perfect train album and I could (and usually do) listen to it everyday.

Powerfully sung, beautifully written tracks laid over uncommon guitar work.
Passionately sung and elegantly worded vocals will often grab your attention and then release you to some nifty and very beautifully done guitar work before you are once again wrapped up in the emotion of the singer. The casual music fan might miss a lot of the intricasies and subtle nuances that this band brings to the table, but the die hards will appreciate the various layers and the wide range of songs included, ranging from the slow melodical Swim to the catchy chorus and riffs of Liz Song.
A breath of fresh air from today's trite music scene, and, as far as I can tell, a great debut album from Marlowe Grey!
