Album Notes

Marmalade is the creation of esteemed indie author John Wray ("The Right Hand of Sleep") and drummer Sarah Blust. After relocating to Brooklyn, Marmalade gained a helping hand from members of other prominent bands including Ladybug Transistor, The Essex Green, Skeleton Key, and High/Low and began to flourish in 2001. Their debut CD, "Beautiful Soup" gushes with inventive lyrics, jangly guitars, and soulful Bolan-esque crooning. Its' soulful, simple and sincere sound could easily find its way into the undergrounds big warm fuzzy hearts.
