“After we recorded Dedicated to You,” Gregg says, “our engineer told Pete the sax sounded more smoky than usual. Pete said he decided to pattern his playing after the way John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman did this song on their album together. This is spooky, since that's the exact recording I had in mind for this cut – and forgot to tell Pete!”
