Although her father ran Electric Lady Studios (Jimi Hendrix’s legendary recording studio) and her mother was a fashion model of historical significance, hybrid vigor is the best way to describe Marlo Marron’s gift as singer/songwriter. On her latest album,“Stay With Me Awhile” Marlo Marron worked with an array of brilliant musicians, such as Charlie Giordano who currently is touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band, as well as members of the band HEM. "Stay With me Awhile", produced by the gifted musician Stuffy Shmitt, reveals a more lush and smokier collection of original folk/pop songs. Ms. Marron’s soulful execution of the songs on “Stay With me Awhile” does mesmerize, but even more alluring are the timelessness and sparseness of her poignant compositions.
