Marsha DesLauriers is a contemporary Christian artist from Sherwood, North Dakota. Her vocal style is uniquely her own, but she has been compared to the likes of Amy Grant and Faith Hill.

She began recording after spending about a year leading worship in churches that had pulpit vacancies, singing sermons. Encouragment to record came in from all areas and resulted in her first CD "Year in Song" which tracks the church year beginning with Advent and going through Easter. It also includes her most-requested song "Hands for Prayer" which was written by Pastor Marsh Drege of Metigoshe Ministries. She often sings this song in concert with her daughters; they all "sign" the chorus to this beautiful song. The sign language accents the beauty and message of this song.

Her next recording project was a Christmas album. "Lakeside Peace" contains traditional and not-so-traditional Christmas music. It has been labeled my many who listen to it as the "most soothing album" they own. It contains 5 new Christmas songs written by North Dakota writers and several traditional songs such as "Away in a Manger" and "O Holy Night" to name a few. Marsha's daughters join her on this album, as does her sister Melanie.

Her lastest release "Not Too Far" is a blend of contemporary Christian and secular music. On this album you'll find the up tempo song of "Where Justice Rolls Down" to the soothing "Breathe". As a bonus there is a hidden track and some bloopers, too.

Marsha usually performs and/or speaks at 35-40 shows a year and can also be heard at many sporting events singing her unique and majestic version of the "Star Spangled Banner" (arr. by Dave Roise) When not singing, Marsha can be found doing various jobs on the farm she and her husband share. Her main job is running the combine in the fall. She calls it "the best job on the farm."

No doubt you'll want to add all of Marsha's albums to your collection. You'll have a hard time picking which of the three is your favorite.

Marsha's music has been featured on radio stations throughout North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and Alaska. You can find stories on Marsha in many state and local newspapers, and on the cover lady on ND Living as well as the cover lady of Country Woman magazine.
