before Time forgot
author: Donna NimmoEveryone has heard tales of haunting alluring music sung by siren's songs luring sailors to destruction in ancient Greek mythology. This is how I felt! Spell bound, when I first heard Marston Smith's beautiful music wafting along with enticing aromas of cotton candy over the Pomona Fair grounds several years ago.I followed the sound until I saw Marston playing his electric cello lost in a magical realm all his own.I bought two cds at that time.I bought this cd and another, just as enthralling,These are must have additions for any musical library.Thank you for making my life richer.

Great contemporary cello music, no doubt. I think Marston has a potential to create real masterpiece(s) that will be in the treasure music box for ages to come. I give the album 4 stars as I found the drum-machine to be rather boring. It is also very clumsily used in the intro to the 2nd track (which boasts probably the best cello playing on the whole album). I think a lot of those who like cello will agree that it is very hard to listen to 56 minutes of drum-machine, despite the "medieval trance" idea. Hope the next album will be with a live drum kit. Thank you Marston!
My C.D. from Marston is Greeeeat !
author: suzanne gaulI thoroughly enjoy my C.D. I listen to it on my way to work to start the day. Very upbeat. Great. I also have another of Marston's C.D's, I listen to it in the evening to quiet down, very relaxing. Thank you
Marston Smith is the Master of the Electronic Cello
author: Subhadhra ColstonI really enjoy this CD as it's very lively and quite the "toe tapper"! I let it play over and over and enjoy it more and more. I have ALL of Marston Smith's CDs and enjoy every one of them in their different moods. But I do HIGHLY recommend this CD!!
