Album Notes

In 1993 a wildfire swept down the mountain I lived on. I was in a tux and had just placed my 17th Century Italian cello in the car when I looked up and saw the smoke. I ended up in the swimming pool hiding beneath a rowboat, fearing for my life. My cellos, art and armour were also in the pool....thank the gods because the house burnt and the boat caught fire. I was a professional studio cellist and had recorded hundreds of sessions and film dates...EarthWind&Fire, Stevie Wonder, Neil DIamond, Mainilow, Out of Africa, Officer and a Gentlemen. But after the fire I quit...it did not mean anything anymore to play music for a microphone in a room full musicians who were all as bored as I. I was missing the audience and the emotion that fills me when I play.

So I picked up the electric cello and began performing and that works for me.

MARSTON performs on a unique 6 stringed electric cello of his own design mounted on Medieval Battle Armour. His music is the embodiment of epic romanticism. MARSTON has performed on the Tonight Show, Cirque du Soleil, International Jazz Festivals, Las Vegas Casinos and he has recorded with the Back Street Boys, KISS, Barry Manilow, and Rod Stewart. Corporate appearances include Toshiba, Toyota, General Mills, Universal/Segrams, Warner Brothers, Disney and his 12 albums are passionate tributes to his virtuosic capabilities and vision. He made special appearances on television for QVC and for the openings of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. His recent album, Peace of our Minds, is collaboration with actor/pianist John O’Hurley and it reached number 13 on Billboard. MARSTON tours with his own original staged production, Cirque du Vampyre, that combines the fantasy of winged mythological creatures from Middle Earth with a live concert.

Marston is simply unparalled

Now I've got everything Marston has recorded. In fact, some of the albums I've had to order twice as they have a tendency to "walk away" with friends that simply won't leave without him!
