Album Notes

Sit back and enjoy this unique listening experience with a new friend.

You are listening to Marta, a well-loved singer, pianist and songwriter. Marta's new CD, "I'm Dreaming," includes two songs which she wrote, "I'm Dreaming" and "We're Together," as well as two classical piano pieces and some standards and popular songs.

Marta's velvety voice is often referred to as soothing, and her whole CD creates a dreamy, soft atmosphere.

The beautiful cover art, a composite of photos of Marta superimposed on a lovely deep-space photograph by acclaimed photographer Richard Crisp, is also on the CD itself. "I'm Dreaming" is a treasure to listen to and to look at.

A solo artist, Marta's energy and humor light up the intimate cabaret settings of fine restaurants, hotels and resorts throughout Florida, New York and Europe. Marta is truly a world-class artist. Not limited to singing only in English, she effortlessly changes continents on a whim, singing in French, Spanish, Italian and German at your pleasure. Marta's unique style reveals itself in powerful standards, intercontinental favorites and lilting Irish tunes.

So sit back, listen and dream. Visit Marta at her website www.marta5.com for more information, sample songs and upcoming performance dates.

Don't Call It "New Age"; It's WAY Better
author: Mike M
The track list gives you an idea of the variety you'll find here. Yet the relatively simplistic treatment given most of the tunes - Marta's acoustic piano; tasteful synth dubs; the occasional guest; and Marta's warm, spot-on vocals - give even the chestnuts here a freshness. The orginal tunes meld well with the mood of the CD. My biggest unexpected surprises were the piano-only classical works; the MacDowell "To a Wild Rose" - a piece that should be more well-known than it is - receives an exceptionally emotional reading. Marta has that rare combination of deep emotion and outstanding musicianship. Check out this CD; you'll enjoy it!
