Album Notes

Martina Griffiths is a singer/songwriter born in Montreal, raised in Ottawa, who currently lives in Vancouver. She is a vocally dynamic performer, a natural story teller with an awesome range, who draws from a number of musical styles, including jazz, blues, musical theater, Latin, and vocal improvisation.

Martina has performed in a variety of musical venues, and festivals across Canada including: with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in a performance called 'Vivo y Festivo!,' at the Orpheum Theater, The Vancouver Sacred Music Festival, , The Women's Voices Festival in Ottawa and her original music has been featured in a few Independent films.Martina can be spotted at several clubs and restaurants around her home town, Vancouver. You may also catch her singing Vocal and Spoken Word Improvisations at gallery openings, café's, and street performances.

One of the best aspects of being involved in music is the people you meet and get to play with. Martina has had the great fortune to perform with: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Miles Black, Sal Ferreras, Jack Duncan, Bibiane Hellsten and Lache Cercel to name a few. Martina's education and teachers include: Dee Daniels, Rhiannon, Joey Blake, Ruth Zaporah and a music diploma.

Martina's debut CD 'Powerful Baby' sizzles. It is a collection of originals, standards and not so standard standards. Enjoy!
