Album Notes

The Martindales are an American classic with a take no prisoners approach to country, pop, and rockabilly. Their two releases, Introducing the Martindales and Downbeat at Eight, offer straight forward, stripped down songs that echo less complicated times, when vinyl was king and the King was on vinyl. With their guitar driven sound and immaculate production, The Martindales are 21st century rebels, producing fresh sounds for mature sensibilities.

Whether it's the jangly earnestness of "Stephanie's Song," the reverby moodiness of "Drive," or the cerebral grooviness of "You Don't Understand," downbeat at eight's extensive musical menu is guaranteed to blow the lid off of any party!

The Martindales just keep getting better and better!! "Downbeat at eight" is their masterpiece to date! Take it from someone who has seen too many of their live shows to list, this is definately a must have for anyone who claims to love vintage, guitar Rock & Roll!! "Cash", "Drive" & "Say you love me" are my personal favorites.

Downbeat at Eight is one of the best albums I've heard all year. It has great guitar solos, steady drum beats, powerful bass and some of the best vocals that I have ever heard. The Martindales held nothing back and turned their amps up to 11. Don't miss out on this great band. This CD is a must own for any music lover.
