Martin Franco's life is music.

An acclaimed vocalist, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, he's also a songwriter, producer, & recording engineer.

A multi-cultural mix of Colombian & Italian roots, Martin was raised in Mexico City, moving to Brooklyn NY as a teen where he picked up the sax.

Turned on by the explosive mix of Nuyorican Salsa & Santana's Latin-rock fusion, he added vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass & percussion to his repertoire while studying at Berklee College of Music.

Martin traveled around the world playing saxophone and guitar, returning to the US in the early 90's settling in Oakland, CA.

He formed the band Shango Mantra to explore a mix of Latino beats with funk and hip hop influences, which became known for their intoxicating live performances and received rave reviews.

He is currently gigging with his band while promoting "Got Latin Soul," co-managing Xango Productions & running his recording studio Macondo Sound USA.
