The Martini Kings play a style of music known as Exotica that was invented in the 1950's by the great Martin Denny.
The Martini Kings reside in Los Angeles but have a strong love for Hawaii.
The band consists of brothers Frank Marsico (vibraphone)
Tony Marsico (acoustic bass) and Jack LeCompte(drums and percussion).Formed in 1995 the Martini Kings have released

The band has written and directed "Camp Burlesque", a tiki-tropical comedy featuring many top stars of burlesque as well as the Martini Kings.see (www.campburlesque.com)

After listening to this Neo-Exotica album I've come to realize that it is hard to capture the same feeling as classic Exotica and the Martini Kings with their album "Dance Of The Virgins" does just that! This album comes highly recommended. Do not hesitate to purchase if you are a fan of Les Baxter & Martin Denny. Enjoy!
