As a celebration of the incredible scope and energy of Paolozzi's work, the music revels in a dizzyingly wide variety of styles, from the lumbering menace of His Majesty the Wheel to the skittering insanity of Hamlet in a Japanese Manner. The superbly produced recording, hotly anticipated since the project was first performed in 2008, showcases Kershaw's remarkable compositional skill, as well as the wonderful depth of musical talent in Scotland today.
