George Martinovich, born in Budapest, Hungary. Grew up with classical music, studied piano and vocals. Fell in love with Rock n' Roll in the early sixties, became a lead singer / bass player in a Hungarian equivalent of a garage band. After years of playing in Eastern Europe and than in Scandinavia, in 1973 I moved to California. Here I continued being a musician, played Pop, Rock, and Jazz in different bands. Started writing music in the late eighties, first some rock tunes than some instrumental, chamber type of music. In 1992 a local dance company (www.stelladance.org) used some of my music in a show. It was a success, which gave us the idea to create an original full-length modern ballet, based on one of our favorite stories by Charles Dickens. Since its opening in December of 1997 "A Christmas Carol" became an annual event here in Orange County.
Please note that this "soundtrack" album (about 64 minutes) does not contain the full show (which is about 90 minutes).
If somebody is affiliated with a dance/ballet company and interested in the full lenght version I can be reached by email.
