This album is a collection of musical seeds I've carried through my life. Some seeds I harvested as a child listening to my Grandma's lullabies or playing through Aunt Louise's music books. I collected some seeds singing along with Mitch Miller on the TV, my older sister's LP records or at live concerts. Some seeds were fed to me in school like bits of pre-digested food and poked into my hungry music-bird mouth and others must have flown to me on maple wings. Not all the songs in this collection are old. Some were written in our lifetime and are included because the connection feels obvious (if only to me) and others are originals from discontinued recordings that just wanted a little sunlight and a chance to be heard... I rarely create a piece of music that doesn't have deep roots somewhere in this seed pile, that re-awaken and bloom like an old rose in the middle of my musical thoughts. I hope this collection of Songs Worth Listening To will inspire you to share YOUR muisical seeds with your family and as always, PLEASE, SING ALONG!
