Marty Cobcroft is a singer/songwriter originally from Sydney, Australia. For some years, he worked steadily in the pub rock scene with various local bands and throughout the 1990\'s, Marty worked extensively as a session singer for a number of production houses. In 1997, Marty and Andy Payne produced Marty\'s first album, Patchwork. More a collection of simple songs that Marty just enjoyed rather than a conscious recording project as an album, Patchwork was just what the name implied. With contributions from various writers, it was a mixture of styles and feels, just the sort of thing Marty likes. The majority of his gigs to date have been with the popular duo, Open Fire. As of February 2008, Marty has returned full-time to the studio and is working on new projects.
