Album Notes

World News: "Marty & Elayne have a CD airing on jazz radio, a video, and hip, young
crowds pack the Dresden. Marty & Elayne have made it in L.A." Anderson Couper -ABC TV
Channel 5 News: "The best in lounge music and arguably the hottest lounge act in L.A."
-Sam Ruben, Ch. 5 News
New York Atomic: Marty and Elayne profile: "Although the continued adoration of their fans
have sealed their celebrity status, Marty & Elayne have strived to stay true to their roots and
play the kind of music they love. The couple's daring to combine jazz and Sinatra standards
along with songs like Ricky Martin's "La Vida Loca" makes them true living lounge artists.
And you won't find two more dedicated musicians anywhere". -Robert Louis Medina
Our thanks to Gordon Lysle our engineer for recording us LIVE AT THE DRESDEN!

REVIEWS

Great versions of classic songs
author: Tubby Johnson
I've seen Marty and Elayne many times over the years at The Dresden Rooms in Hollywood. I guess they've performed there constantly for nearly 30 years. Honestly, they don't look like their picture on the CD cover, I think that photo must be also 30 years old, but they have matured well. They are both multi-instrumentalists and singers and it always sounds like they have a full band behind them. Sure it's a bit schmaltzy, but seeing them in the Dresden is like going back in time. The place has not changed since it was opened in 1954. Good lounge acts are disappearing all the time, but Marty and Elayne keep the tradition alive. This CD was recorded at the Dresden so you'll get a little taste of what you are missing.
