Album Notes

Marty Marrone spent 7 years touring with Special Consensus, from Chicago, and appeared on three of their albums, one of which was nominated for a Grammy Award. Marty currently plays in the Minneapolis/St. Paul based band Tangled Roots. He can be found playing the six-string guitar in the best Flat-Picking style interspersed with some hard-driving Bluegrass rhythm and high soulful vocals.

Seven Years With The Special Consensus is a compilation CD of the 16 tunes Marty recorded with Special Consensus during his 7 year tenure. Songs on this disc include Bill Monroe's "Walls of Time", Michael Johnson's "I Will Whisper Your Name", Robin and Linda Williams' "The Leavin' Train" and Elvis Presley's "Viva Las Vegas".
