Album Notes

*** Including the International Number 1 Radio Hit "Made in Mexico"

-----------------------------------------------------------

Being born in a musical family, singer-songwriter Marty Rivers was drawn into music from a very early age by listening attentively to his grandfather playing guitar in the little bar next to the family home. Although his passion for country music has been within him since childhood, he ventured into other styles of music which developed in him a sense of versatility that is so evident in his music today: versatility in the way he writes his songs and also in the way he delivers them. The first collection of songs was released in Marty’s debut self-titled album with a number of tracks placing high on various country radio charts including the Hit ‘Queen of my Heart’.
Marty’s new album, ‘Out of the Blue’, produced in Nashville by Gary Carter who worked with artists such as Randy Travis and Faith Hill, is a collection of 11 great songs all co-written by Marty himself. Songs that reflect the various musical influences that left such a blueprint on Marty’s unique style.
Songs such as Mexican vacation and Made in Mexico reveal the artist‘s Latin music influence while his island upbringing was the inspiration behind Paceville.
The title track along with the ballads Baby, you’ve changed my life and A lonely star uncover Marty’s more romantic side with Call Colorado being the most laid-back song on the album, a deep contrast from the track I’m available, which is a real country rocker with a touch of humor. The beauty of freedom is celebrated in So good to be free while the joy of redemption is delivered in the spiritual song Blinded.
The track Teasin’ kind of woman completes this album with its raw honky-tonk sound.
This is indeed a unique collection of songs that Marty is so excited to share with you all.
Enjoy the ride!

Out of the Blue and into my heart!!!!

I came across Marty a while back on My Space. The first track I listened to in his player was "I'm Available" and I was instantly blown away over a super rocking song. I wanted Marty and the label to quickly release the CD so I could hear the rest. Over the last several months I purchased CD's by artists that I have come to enjoy but I must say that Marty's "Out of the Blue" CD quickly became one of my favorites. I've listened to the CD several times and I know I will never tire of it. Each song is so picturesque and would make for some awesome movie soundtracks. Like Gay, I too am reminded of Marty Robbins when I listen to Marty Rivers but I also sense a little Conway Twitty and Roy Orbison, yet he's uniquely himself. Every song on this CD is great and Blinded is so beautiful, it brought a tear to my eye. All I know is the beautiful island Republic of Malta has blessed the world with a wonderful talented artist and an ever sweet human being!!
