notes
Marty Slayton has spent the last several years performing as a background vocalist with such country greats as Reba McEntire, Lorrie Morgan, Alan Jackson, and Lee Ann Womack, and currently tours and records with George Strait.
In this, her debut solo project, she combines her love of well-written Nashville tunes with self-penned story songs of life and love, featuring a mix of rich vocals with fiddle, steel guitar and piano from some of the best musicians in Music City.

A great album, by a great artist
author: Erwin FilicianaI bought this CD through this site, because I fell in love with Marty while she was on NashVille Star Season 2 ... knowing her background as a vocalist, I decided to buy it and see what she had to offer ... and I can certainly say, she is a great artist ... from the 1st song to the last one, her voice sounds wonderfully ... My favorite tracks on the CD ... "I didn't want to see him", "Which 5 Years?", "The Me Without You", "It hits like Love" ... but all the songs, from "Plan B" to "the Next Big Thing" to "Anytime I want to" will grab your attention ... Great Album Marty ... Keep up the good work ...
Marty Slayton is Unforgettable!
author: Michael SherfeyMarty Slayton's debut CD "PLAN B" can best be described using the title of a song her employer, Mr. George Strait took all the way up the charts...."She'll Leave You With a Smile". After researching Ms. Slayton's background, I understand where she gets her soulful, yet truthful sound. From backing Reba, Alan and now to Mr. Strait, Ms. Slayton sure has put what she's learned from the Greats into this collaboration. The ten songs on the album, (five which she co-wrote) cover all realms of emotions, from elation to heartache. Slayton is able to sing each of them with such country-soul that it is easy to hear her love for music and the fact that her past experiences have paid off. Good albums/cds usually contain 2-3 songs that are good and the rest are "Forgetable". "Unforgetable" albums/cds are a rare find....until now. Finally "Unforgetable" can be defined with two words .."MARTY SLAYTON"! My advice is BUY IT AND PLAY IT....YOU'LL LOVE IT!
