Originally from Auckland, New Zealand now living in Sydney. This young woman has gone from strength to strength.
Marvey's first single Rosary was recorded under the Felix label an off shoot from Wildside Records that nurtured such bands as Shihad (aka 'pacificer') head like a hole and more, the single shot to No 4 in the charts, an amazing achievement for her first release.
The music video (included on the CD) for Rosary was nominated for an award at the Juice Awards, and Surreal, a slow haunting song went to No 1 on Swedish Radio.
Marvey has toured extensively throughout New Zealand, and the US, getting strong response from her repertoire at the Ghengis Khan in LA.
Marvey has supported bands such as Op-shop, Stoods, Ben King and The Feelers. Marvey also supported Jackson Browne when he toured New Zealand two years ago.
Marvey has finished her second release Perfect Lullaby, which was remixed by Nicholas Littlemore, the Perfect Lullaby music video is currently being filmed in Australia,
Marvey is thriving as an independent artist, playing large venues around Sydney, The Civic (Newtown), and The Metro (CBD) among others, and her fan base support continues to grow.
Marvey's songs are moving, haunting and honest. Her live show 'Breath Taking'.
