Ken Marvin and Brian Gentry grew up in Kentucky playing and singing together. Heavily influenced by America, Crosby Stills & Nash, Lennon/McCartney and Simon/Garfunkel, the two cultivated their sound and writing skills and took their grass roots approach as Marvin&Gentry on the road to college campuses in the US and Canada.
During the late 80s, the two met Dan Peek, founding member of the group AMERICA, through a mutual friend while based in Nashville. The three began to collaborate, writing and recording what would later become the PEACE "Stronger than You Know" CD, released in 1994 on 7 Mile Entertainment, Dan's private label. (see DANPEEK.COM)
A hard act to follow... Peace turned out two more wonderfully crafted albums, the self titled "PEACE", and the critically acclaimed "Under The Mercy".
Violence of Love is their sixth studio project. It was the first recording again as the duo Marvin&Gentry after the Peace trilogy with Dan Peek.
