Mary has been singing in church since she was 13 years old but it was hard to truly realize the full potential of what God would have for her music ministry while trying survive in an abusive marriage. Recording this CD is her way of giving back to the Lord for his mercy and grace on her life. As a victim, her voice was never heard, as a SURVIVOR her voice rings loud and clear that a person CAN over come abuse and go on to live a VICTORIOUS, happy and healthy life.

When God Shows Up!
author: Arrick Moore
This is my sister, in whom God is well pleased. For the longest time you would not have thought that she would become such a flowing vessel of God, because if the deep hurts she had suffered.
Through Christ alone, her life has turned around and become a living testimony of grace and love, and only HIS love could have healed what she has endured all those years.
I have seen radical change in her heart over the last few years, and my only prayer is that God continue to keep his hand on her in the years to come, and she continue to allow him to move through her.
Mary, I love you, and appreciate you for your spiritual outpouring, and congradulations on the next CD thats coming out soon.

While many gospel recordings are deeply personal, this one is especially so. This is an album recorded after Ms. Clemons removed herself from an abusive relationship, and as a result, these are songs filled with hope and resolution, promise and faith. Soft and calm, her vocals are forthright and confident, invested in the spiritual content of the songs. Choosing a nice array of Christian ballads and a few more upbeat numbers, the songs are comforting and mellow in their approach, concentrating mostly on piano and leaving ample room for her voice to shine through. The best aspect of this album may be the cause: All proceeds go to a charitable foundation/ministry aimed at combating and preventing domestic violence.
