Album Notes

Steppin’ into the Flow

The message of this album is consistent and deeply spiritual in the truest sense. It is a celebration of the triumph of Spirit over adversities of different types and sizes. "My Life Was Changed Forever" can and should be shared with other cancer survivors. "Steppin' into the Flow" is a universal, energetic, uplifting song with a little country flavor. "I Just Cry and Wash the Dishes" is a country blues sound that is a great change of pace.
This CD has been the culmination of a long-time dream and divine idea for Mary.
The production quality of this album is excellent and consistent. The vocals are superb. The arrangements and variation in instrumentation keep the listener interested, as do the different rhythms. There are some very unique chord progressions. The keyboards have a very full orchestra sound when appropriate, but simple when they should be. Modal guitar on "The Secret Place of the Most High", is a unique addition in combination with the other instrumentation. There is just the right amount of harmony in the arrangements.
Be prepared to be moved and to smile a lot!

It certainly is a refreshing experience to "step into the flow" of the beautiful music created by David Wallace and Mary Elliott. What a sweet voice -- gentle and pure, and what deep, powerful words! Listening to this is a baptism for the spirit -- better each time I listen!
