Artist-Producer and 1997 graduate of the Recording Institute of Detroit, Mary Shana has been writing, recording and producing music since 1990. Originally trained on guitar and violin, Mary has created intelligently sculpted electronic soundscape songs on her debut album, Pranaholographic.
Also known as "11:11...Silentscape" since her performances in the mid 90s "Detroit techno scene," Mary Shana has done studio work under recording engineer John Vitale (Sponge, Republica) and other notable producers. She was assistant engineer and created sounds for a Carl Carlton re-mix at the Harmonie Park Creative Group studios in Detroit.
"PranaHolographic" is her first published album. It has made its way to a promo executive at Warner Bros Records in LA and has reached India, UK, Japan, and Canada. More musical offerings are slated for 2008. Visit maryshana.com for latest information.
