Album Notes

Mary White
Singer/Songwriter/Musician(Saxophone,guitar & keyboards/Producer/Engineer
Mary White could very well be Country Music's best-kept little secret. Mary's music shines, as a welcome reminder of how much fun down-home country music should be. Through pure persistence and raw talent, Mary has written more than 200 songs and earned a solid reputation and following as one of the Southwest's hottest, rising young country artists.

Mary grew up in a musical family and started singing with her mother at festivals and in church. When she arrived in LA from her hometown Longview, Texas, she began performing at local clubs, festivals and coffeehouses. Her music itself is a smooth combination of intelligent songwriting and depth-digging vocal tones. The result is wide-open musical instinct and a talent that speaks for itself. Mary continues to create her own musical style.

On stage, she's pure energy, and sings with a smile in her voice. She swings her sax and guitar with moves like Garth, and is attractive and charismatic like Shania. Some call her a female Elvis. Her CD, Change of Pace which features a foot-stompin' rhythm and a stroke of rock is a real crowd pleaser. Her voice delivers a real punch of soulful southern flair.

Mary White not only provides great music for fans in the Southwest, but was selected by the United States Armed Forces MWR to tour South Korea and entertain the troops and spectors alike from all reaches of the globe.

Mary is currently living in Los Angeles, writing and performing locally. She is the owner of a successful recording studio, QP Sound, producing and engineering numerous artists and CDs. She is writing great songs and looking for a publishing, recording opportunity. If you enjoy great music and songs from the heart, get her CD or catch her live, you'll be glad you did.

REVIEWS

Mary White Change of Pace
author: Cindy Campbell
Mary White's music has the potential to be at the top of the country charts. My question is why am I not hearing her music on my local radio stations? The renditions she does on this album are great, her sax playing is soulful on "Wish" however my favorites are her orginal songs "Foolish Pride", "Change of Pace" and "Not Ready for Love." Please let me know when her next CD comes out. I would also like to know if we can request her music on our local radio stations?

You Gotta Hear It!
author: Karen Luman
Mary White’s voice is pure and natural. “Face the Facts” is fun and most certainly will put a smile on your face! I can hardly wait to see the HBO movie “The Gristle,” to be aired the 1st of November, just to hear her sing “Take Me Back to Oklahoma.” Mary did ‘ole Hank proud in her rendition of “Hey Good Lookin’.” “Foolish Pride” hangs right up there with other present-day Top 100 Country Hits. If given the opportunity and proper attention, “Lonesome Rider” and “Love of My Life” both are capable of riding straight to the No. 1 position on the county music charts. Every song on this CD touches the heart in a unique way (it did mine) and the majority of these songs are HITS that are yet to be discovered! So WORLD … watch out!
