Album Notes

The Massey Trios roots are filtered deep within Flint, Michigan. Flint served as a monumental inspiration for the trio, which originally began as a hip-hop quartet.

In 2004 the Massey group dropped a member, thus began the Trios metamorphosis into the stylized combination of concentrated Hip-Hop and Jazz we hear modernly.

The Massey Trio is composed of Charlie Boike who delivers the Trios potent lyrics; Jim Baker serves up the groups bottomless and profound double bass, and Marc Dixon strongly holds the key connecting position of the Trio, functioning as their drummer.
The Massey Trio is a tightly executed amalgamation of fierce Hip-Hop lyrics with a defined Jazz undertone that makes this band deserving of serious recognition.
