It is my prayer that you the listener will enjoy these beautiful poems and that you are uplifted in hearing them, as I am uplifted when I sing them.
I became a student of Yogi Bhajan back in 1970. In the years that followed he always encouraged me in my music and guided me towards my destiny. His teachings have been prominent in my life in a way that is impossible to explain. It was his vision of the Age of Aquarius, and his way of unfolding the God-given gifts we have as human beings that led me to begin the practice of Naad Yoga. Singing and working to that vision of humanity, living in widom, peace and harmony together is what keeps me going.
About five years ago Yogi Bhajan told me that I had been a Paathi (one who recites the scriptures) in my last life, and that I should record Furmaan Khalsa. Okay, so I am a little slow. Here is volume one. I finally had some quality time sitting under a tree in Umbria, Italy with my guitar, and the tunes began to flow. I hope this music conveys something of the power and majesty of the original poetry.
Album Re-Mastered at Invincible Studio in 2009!
