'Lo-Fi Americana' is the debut EP from Mat d. & His Partners in Crime. Recorded using the bare essentials of a home studio- the Partners in Crime put forth their folk/blues material with a less is more approach to sound and production- combining poetic lyrics, and a DIY garage sound. Recorded mostly live with the exception of harmonies and few extra tracks here and there- the Partners in Crime released a 6 song EP that's sure to please any fan of grassroots acoustic music.
Songs range from the epic folk ballad (Untold Glory)to the bluesy and introspective (Swivel Town)... all the while including a cast of characters best described as the Raggamuffin Americana Players, including the devil himself,(Nice & Legal) Barnacle Bill (Untold Glory), the temptress Geraldine,(Oh, Geraldine!)Leadbelly's ghost and last but not least- the lo-fi protagonist Smoking Joe.
Pick yourself up a copy of Lo-fi Americana and become a cog in the acoustic revolution...viva la lo-fi!

a great live acoustic sound....captured with perfection

...the Partners live on and still pump out lo-fi, self classified bluesy folk that rocks...
...Mat d., alone or with collaborative artists, has a great live acoustic sound, which is captured with perfection on this six-track EP...
You can't go wrong with a little caffeine and a lot of Mat d. & the Partners in Crime.
