Album Notes
MateChai was born in India. Martin Folatelli and Eduardo de Jong hang around Varanasi since 7 years stuying indian classical music. During this period this songs came up, inspired in common or individual experiences, nothing really extraordinary, but due to the places where this experiences took place, so different to where they come from, that’s where the fusion starts. That’s why you can hear Shiva s name in a Milonga, argentinian tango, in English, or Chacareras accompanied with tablas or a reguee speacking about the Ghat life.
With the simple goal of sharing owr experiences and a humble intention to give good moments for people, this album, Benares Milonga, was created.
We hope you will enjoy.
