Album Notes

Recorded at Columbia College Chicago, during Jay's college years, he explores rock and adult alternative styles as a five-piece band - drums, bass, piano, and guitar. With a number of influences, Mathes' genuine love of life shines through on songs like "It's Alright" and "All I Need"; and his humor gives us something to laugh about on "Jenny" and "What's Her Name?".

REVIEWS

What a great album!
author: Joel
I have listened to both of Jay Mathes' albums, and I like them both. However, he has really progressed since Leave it All Behind, coming on to his new album, Commit. The songs show a depth and maturity that is rare in a songwriter so young. Why hasn't this guy been signed yet? Set me Free and It's Alright are two of my favorites. Four Stars.
