Album Notes

Mathieu Brousseau
As lead singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the pop/rock band Pet The Dog, Mathieu Brousseau has been captivating audiences from the Viper Room to the House of Blues. At 24, Brousseau has decided to strike out on his own. With catchy, compelling, hook-filled Hot AC songs driven by the power and energy of his voice and guitar, he is quickly building a following as a solo artist.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Matt began playing guitar at 14. At 15, he was writing one-chord songs he was too shy to play. College was three years of bands, gigs and classes on the side. In 2003, Matt packed his dog and guitar into his car and moved to Los Angeles. Within a year of arriving, Brousseau put together a band and was playing at top music venues like Club Lingerie and Universal Studios City Walk. Soon they were a regular attraction at the legendary Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach.

Brousseau fills the stage wherever he plays whether he's doing a solo acoustic set downstairs at the Viper Room or playing with a full band at the Knitting Factory. His rhythm guitar is a relentless driving force. His expertly crafted Hot AC songs have powerhouse hooks, fearless lyrics, and melodies that stick in your head.

So if you feel like it, just pet the dog.
