We are The Matney Brothers....a southern gospel quartet who love to sing and harmonize to the Lord!

We come from deep in the heart of the great state of Texas, but now hang our spurs in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Although the Matney Brothers grew up around music, it wasn't until the mid 1990's while singing Christmas carols that they discovered their "brotherly" harmony.

It was then that youngest brother, Ken, showed off his high tenor voice seeming to naturally complement middle brother Russ’ second tenor voice and older brother Keith’s baritone voice. Soon thereafter, they began singing at different events throughout Texas, but in 1997 that came to a quick halt. Russ’ corporate job called him to Phoenix, Arizona making it nearly impossible to continue singing as a group. Two years later, the Lord called Keith and his family to the same town and even the same church as Russ’ family.

Over the next ten years, the Matney Brothers only sang a few times per year. But recent events have moved Ken and his family to the Phoenix area as well, leaving the brothers to all feel like the Lord wants them singing again. So, in February 2009, they went into the studio to produce their first “real” CD, Gospel Ship. However, before doing that they realized there was one piece missing from the puzzle, so they invited Keith's oldest son, Jon to join in and complete the quartet.

While they all love singing together, their ultimate goal is to use their musical talents to praise the Lord and bless others. Praise God from whom all blessings flow and thank you, Lord, for giving the Matney Brothers the opportunity to serve You in this capacity that they so love.
