Album Notes

Matt Aiken is a drum set artist and composer living in New York City. As a composer and bandleader, Aiken has performed in many venues including The Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, Central Park Band Shell, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Merce Cunningham Studio, Joyce SOHO, The Knitting Factory, Cornelia St. Cafe, Makor and The Fringe Festival in Toronto, Canada. He has received four Meet The Composer Grants for his commissioned works for the Tiffany Mills Company and Amy Kail Dance. Aiken has toured and recorded internationally as a freelance drum set player and has performed in New York City in many venues including Birdland, CBGB's Gallery, Living Room, Tonic, Town Hall and the JVC and Williamsburg Jazz Festivals.
