Album Notes

Matt Goss is the Worship Leader at Lancaster County Bible Church, Manheim PA. Three years ago, with his first solo CD release New Creation, he formed what is now known as The Matt Goss Band. Their style would be compared to that of Mercy Me, Paul Baloche, and Darrell Evans.
Matt has always had a passion for music. Growing up in a very musical family, he was singing in front of people ever since he can remember.
Raised with a strong passion for God and for music, he eventually decided to continue his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. During that time he joined the leadership team of "The Christian Fellowship at Berklee". Matt explains, "That was the first time I was really challenged in my understanding of worship, and what it meant to be a true worshipper". Preparing and leading worship each week for a small group of 20-40 people was where Matt gained a new passion for the presence of God.
While at home during a summer break from college Matt met his future wife Kim at a local christian coffee house. They both happened to be performing that night. They closed that night by leading worship together singing the song "Awesome in this Place" by Kent Henry. Approximately 6 months later Matt asked Kim to be his wife. They now have 3 young children, Isabella, Caleb & Lilah.
After finishing at Berklee Matt went into full-time music ministry at a church in Palmyra, PA and eventually moved to Lancaster County Bible Church (LCBC) in Manheim, PA. LCBC is a vibrant, contemporary church who's purpose is to create an environment in which people can unashamedly invite their lost friends, so they too can come to know Christ and experience His power and healing. LCBC now has over 4000 people attending each week!!!
In December of 2000 Matt released his much anticipated solo CD "New Creation" which was produced and recorded in Nashville, TN by CCM veteran "Morgan Cryar". Both radio singles "I'm Here To Praise" and "Kneel" topped the charts at #2 on the top 25 countdown, FM 90.3 WJTL. It was at that time that Matt decided to form what is now known as the "Matt Goss Band".
The Matt Goss Band is a 6 piece "Modern Worship" band stylistically compared to that of "Mercy Me", "Paul Baloche" & "Darrell Evans".
The band consists of:

They have had the opportunity to lead worship at the Creation Festival 2002 & 2003 and recently were a part of the "Creation Worships Tour" featuring Lincoln Brewster and Paul Baloche. Their new CD is now available!
"The purpose of this ministry", explains Matt, "is to lead people into the undeniable presence of God. It is only in his presence that people can find true fullfillment, healing, and grace far beyond their cirumstances. It's our desire that others would experience the same mercy and grace that we've all been given freely through Jesus' death on the cross". The song "Kneel" desribes this very truth; "When I kneel I feel Your arms around me. When I kneel before You Lord, You heal me. As the world around me fades away at Your feet I will remain. Oh Lord, Your presence is so real, when I kneel."
