ADVENTURES OF A TRUMPET
is the new CD from the genius composer and ECHO award winner Wolf Kerschek and the star trumpet player Matthias Hoefs.

This CD consists of two musical pieces “Adventures of a Trumpet (with five Movements)” and “Spanish Christmas”.

The composer and ECHO award winner Wolf Kerschek composed a Concerto with a very special, interdisciplinary style, experimenting and playing with the diversity of sound and possibilities the trumpet has as a musical instrument.

The star classical trumpet player Matthias Hoefs dares, with this compositions specially dedicated to him, into areas of jazz, samba music and film scores giving this compositions a refreshing style and his own interpretation.

In the concerto "Adventures of a Trumpet" for trumpet, jazz trio and symphony orchestra, the trumpet is sent on a journey to different musical horizons. It got involved in a dialogue with the orchestra, a jazz trio, and at the end with itself.

The shorter second piece, "A Spanish Christmas" was specially composed for a Double Bell Trumpet, a flamenco trio and orchestra. It is dedicated to the "Spanish side" of the trumpet.
