notes
Matt Jones is not a former University of Arkansas quarterback. Matt Jones is a former University of Arkansas dropout and a solo acoustic performer native to Fayetteville. He's received a NAMA award for Best New Singer/Songwriter of the Year in April of 2006, played all over the country, and shared the stage with acts such as Ingram Hill, Will Hoge, Needtobreathe, and Blues Traveler.
"Acoustic EP/Plus+3 EP" is Jones' first debut recording. Recorded in two different sessions as two different releases, this compliation comprises both EP's into one cohesive package. "Acoustic EP" was recorded in November of 2004 and released as a six track recording on home-made CD-Rs. A year later, "Plus+3 EP" was recorded and released as an add-on to the previous recording, also as a home-made CD-R. In early 2006, Jones decided to combine both EP's and press the record professionally.
Though the record is entirely acoustic, Jones displays his ability as a triple threat immediately as a songwriter, guitar player, and singer. He has offered something for everyone here ranging from topics, tempos, to mood and vibe. Even at the birth of his craft, Jones bleeds emotion on this record and it's something everyone should hear at least once.

If you don't buy this cd, you won't get into Heaven
author: Matt HaywoodWow. I'm absolutely speechless after listening all the way through this cd for the fourth time in a row! It's a shame this guy is not selling out stadiums and saturating MTV. A pure lyrical genius, obviously the kid can play guitar like second nature, and clearly a master of his domain. Matt Jones makes my head spin. Matt Jones is a badass. Matt Jones can count to infinity. Definately check out this cd!
I love this music; simply amazing

AWESOME
author: Ashton Beardhis voice is so soothing and could make a terrible day turn wonderful!...HELLA TIGHT!
Way ahead of his time
author: JoshBeing that this is just a double ep and not a fully produced product, this cd stands out above almost every other cd in my collection. As a guitar player, the songs on this collection are astounding. Believe me, I've tried to play along. Vocally much better than John Mayer, though there is clearly a touch of his influence. Overall this is a collection of songs that easily shows this guy is going somewhere. Give him enough time and he'll show you just where that path leads. I for one will be closely following his career, his music, and his statements that are way ahead of his time.
AMAZING!!!

The CD is so good. I saw Matt at the Midwest Music Summit in Indy and got a free copy. I listen to it all the time and got some of my friends to start. Good luck Matt!
Move over Mayer.
author: Chuck ZI liken Matt Jones to John Mayer, except with a voice that doesn't make you want to punch babies. His guitar skills are amazing and his voice works perfectly with his playing style. This album, though just a compilation of 2 eps, shows his versatility and ability well. It has something to offer anyone who is a fan of acoustic music. I highly recommend buying this cd.
Love the song and his voice is so soothing, has a John Mayer vibe.
author: Andrea LucasI think the song is great and I have listened to it over and over. I love Matt's voice. He sounds sort of like John Mayer and this is a song that could change his career!
The CD was not what I had expected but I liked it regardless.
author: JamiI have the CD in my car and I love to listen to it. It's really relaxing and energizing at the same time. It's amazing and I've got my sister hooked on it now too.

I met Matt in Fayetteville when my brother and Brad and Jesse were all living together. I heard Matt play and was blown away. I was talking to his friend Patrick one night when I was drunk and told him Matt needed to make this his career and Patrick replied, "Oh, don't worry. He's working on it." Congratulations Matt. You're on your way.
